What is a heat pump?

What exactly is a heat pump? Well, it's a key component of a home heating and cooling system, typically installed outside your home. Similar to a central air conditioner, a heat pump has the ability to cool your home. However, it's also uniquely capable of providing heat. During cooler months, the heat pump extracts heat from the cold outdoor air and transfers it indoors. Conversely, in warmer months, it removes heat from indoor air to cool your home.

Do I need HVAC maintenance?
